I dropped out of college to become a flair bartender (sorry mom), but doing something I was passionate about was always in my DNA. I was never great at school, but I placed 3rd in the world (in tandem) at one of the largest bartending competitions. I realized I could do anything I put my mind to at that point.
It was one of my "Aha!" moments.
I went on to start my first business in 2005. Then started 5 more businesses before I built the company that was just recently acquired for $11.2 million dollars… and guess what, if I would have believed in myself earlier I would have been able to keep more of my equity and walk away with a lot more money.
